Become the Burger King of Your West Hills Apartment

  |     |   Apartment Living in West Hills CA

Burgers are a summertime barbecue classic, but if you want to become the king of burgers, you can't grill up those thin frozen patties and expect to wow the crowd.  Instead try these tips to grill the perfect grilled burger.

1. Start with good quality burger meat.  A mix of chuck and sirloin makes a tasty, and juicy burger.
2. Add liquid to the burger meat, whether you add a bit of olive oil, some barbecue sauce, steak sauce, or Worcestershire sauce to your burgers will make them juicy and flavorful.
Be gentle when making the patties, make them all the same size and put a small dimple in the top so the juices run back in to the burger instead of out.
3. Get the grill good and hot to sear the outside of your burgers.  If the outside is cooked before the inside, move them to indirect heat.
4. Don't flip or press them.  Doing so will make them dry and less tasty.
5. Remove the burgers, clean the grill and add buttered buns to the grill or top element.
6. Let the burgers sit before serving.
7. Have plenty of great condiments for your burger, mayo, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, beets, baby spinach, and even a fried egg, all make perfect burger accompaniments.

Follow these tips to be the "Burger King" of your West Hills apartment community.
