     If you are a hiker, you have to visit Topanga State Park, the world’s largest wildland within the boundaries of a major city. With over thirty-six miles of trails, across every level of difficulty, you’ll always discover something new and exciting! Also, if you’re looking for something a little more intense, mountain biking is allowed on all fire roads in Topanga State Park. On the other hand, if you like a little education with your hikes, visit Malibu Creek State Park. Formerly owned by 20th Century Fox Studios, the park includes various famous filming locations, beautiful wildlife, and free guided hikes!

     Why bother with the traffic and hassle of downtown or the popular beaches this summer weekend? Stay close to home and enjoy the local state parks!
