Like so many of us it isn’t the holidays unless you have seen A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Somehow the miserly and miserable Ebenezer Scrooge and his famous “bah humbug” lifts our spirits and reminds us of the joy and the true meaning of Christmas.
Set in Victorian England, this timeless classic tells a story about love, family, redemption and giving. This holiday tradition is a must see and you are lucky that you have so many options to see this classic near your Woodland Hills apartment. Be mindful of bringing small children as ghostly apparitions and some visual effects may be disturbing for the little ones.
Experience A Christmas Carol like you have never before. The Village at Westfield Topanga brings the story to life through the eyes and spirit of Charles Dickens himself. OK, not actually Mr. Dickens, but through the words of David Melville who plays almost every character in the story. Accompanied by Julia Aks, this rendition of the Christmas classic is full of humor, ghosts, romance, music and most of all redemption.
From December 3 – 6 you can check out these free performances at the Koi Pond. Thursday and Friday at 7pm and Saturday and Sunday at 6pm. Be sure to bring a sweater as the performance is held outside.
