February 8th mark the Chinese New Year and this year we celebrate The Year of the Monkey. You could celebrate it by heading to your favorite Chinese restaurant in West Hills, CA or you can head to LA’s Chinatown where you can eat, shop and take in the sights.

You can find everything from trinkets to high end art and porcelain. When it comes to shopping, Chinatown has it all.

Fifth Floor

The Fifth Floor features items from local artists on the first floor and has an art gallery on the second.  Select from unique items, jewelry, accessories, furniture, and ceramics.

 K.G. Louie Company

This is one of Chinatown’s original stores, with its iconic neon sign it is at the center of Old Chinatown Central Plaza and has treasures like cookbooks, jewelry, porcelain items, and Chinese tea sets and bowls.

Phoenix Imports

This dusty store will transport you back to China.  You can find clothing, collectibles (vintage daggers), gifts, sandals and other trinkets.

Wing Wa Hing Gifts & Arts

Just the name makes you smile.  This shop has knickknacks, trinkets, and souvenirs and is a fun way to spend part of your time in Chinatown.
